Sam Blackman was admitted as a solicitor in 2012 and began his career practising in Sydney, before being called to the Bar in 2018. He now practises in South Australia and appears in State and Commonwealth courts and tribunals.
He works across a range of commercial and civil matters, with particular experience in building and construction, personal injury, torts, and insurance law. He also accepts briefs in general commercial litigation and other areas.

Since being called to the Bar in 2018, Sam has appeared in a broad range of commercial and civil disputes in State and Commonwealth courts and tribunals. His practice encompasses matters in building and construction, contract, insurance, personal injury, and general commercial litigation.
In building and construction law, Sam has acted for and against home builders in disputes concerning contractual interpretation, termination, defects, delay, and quantum. In insurance law, his work has included contested indemnity decisions and liability issues arising under commercial policies.
Sam regularly advises and appears in personal injury matters involving issues of liability, causation and damages, and has experience in workers’ compensation and return-to-work disputes
